This is a 40-card scavenger hunt will teach your students many interesting facts about tornadoes. While completing this hunt students will learn in what conditions tornadoes form, where and when most tornadoes occur, unusual things tornadoes have done, what to do if they are caught in a tornado, and more. To complete the hunt, students read a multiple-choice question. Then they read a passage that will help them answer the question. Students receive instant feedback on whether or not they chose the correct answer. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. It can be used as a supplement to a study of natural disasters or tornadoes, as background information for a story, to practice reading informational text, or as an easy activity for a sub.
