This is a 37-card scavenger hunt that will teach your students interesting facts about birds. While completing the hunt, students will learn the unusual place an Albatross sleeps, why the male Sand Grouse soaks himself in water, where a Kiwi's nose is located, and more. To complete the hunt, students answer 18 multiple choice questions. First, they read a question and its answer choices. Then they read a short passage where the answer can be found. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. This is a great supplement to add to a study of birds, to provide background information for a story, to have students practice reading informational text, for a reading/science center, or as an easy lesson for a sub.
