Each card shows a real photo of a teen or group of teens in an everyday social situation. The SLP presents the card and guides the student through three verbal discussion questions: how the person in the photo is most likely feeling, why they think that, and what clues in the picture support their answer. Because the format is fully verbal, this deck works beautifully for students who need supported discussion rather than reading or writing tasks. It is especially well suited for students with autism, pragmatic language delays, or social communication disorders. The 12 scenario cards cover a range of relatable situations including peer conflict, family stress, social outings, and school life. Photos feature diverse teens so students can see themselves in the scenarios.
