About me: Hi, I’m April! I’m a pianist and music educator with over 25 years of teaching experience. I’m the creator of KeyMasters Academy and Music Theory Boom Cards. My passion is helping children receive the high-quality, engaging music education they deserve while supporting teachers with effective, classroom-ready resources. My Music Theory Boom Cards are thoughtfully designed to reinforce concepts from the RCM Elementary Theory books in a fun, interactive, and self-grading format. These digital resources help students truly understand music theory concepts, build confidence, and develop a strong foundation as well-rounded musicians. Whether used for lessons, independent practice, assessment, or review, these Boom Cards keep students motivated and engaged. My own students absolutely love using them, and I’m confident yours will too! I’m also the proud owner of Ms April’s Music Studio, where I work daily with students of all ages and abilities. This hands-on teaching experience allows me to create resources that are practical, teacher-tested, and aligned with real studio and classroom needs.
