About me:
I am a dedicated special education teacher with 37 years of experience and a lifelong passion for helping students reach their full potential. Born in Costa Rica and raised in a bilingual household, I am fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to communicate effectively with students and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Throughout my career, I have prioritized creating inclusive, supportive learning environments where every student feels valued and empowered. I understand the importance of integrating technology into education to enhance learning experiences, especially for students with special needs. I also teach essential life skills and vocational training to help students become more independent and better prepared for life beyond the classroom.

Collaboration is at the heart of my teaching philosophy. I work closely with parents, fellow educators, and support staff to develop strategies that meet the unique needs of each learner. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy exploring new educational technologies, attending professional development workshops, and volunteering in my community.

A firm believer in lifelong learning, I am always seeking new ways to grow professionally and refine my teaching practices to best support my students' academic and personal growth.
