The remaining cards are practice cards. There are three levels of practice. The first three cards focus on identifying when to apply the rule. This is multiple choice and should be easy for most students. The next level contains 7 cards and requires students to combine base words and suffixes. In most cases, they will use the doubling consonants rule, but in a few cases, they will not. An additional question on each card requires students to tell whether or not they applied the rule. These questions require students to type the word into an answer box. The final level also contains 7 cards and is the most challenging. In this level, students must choose between 3 suffixes and add the correct one to a base word to complete a sentence. Again, students must type their answers into an answer box and tell whether or not they used the rule.
