Reading Specialty

About me: Reading Specialty is a product of Diana McClain, a former teacher with experience in the elementary and secondary levels. Although she has 5 years of elementary teaching experience, most of career has been devoted to secondary students, specifically struggling readers. With over 30 years experience as a Reading Specialist, Diana has a particular interest in vocabulary, reading comprehension, and independent reading. Another area of interest is developing foundational reading skills in older beginning readers. Preschool resources have become an interest with a young grandchild! Diana has significant experience in professional development, having conducted numerous workshops for educators. Her lesson plans are available from Teachers Pay Teachers, with in excess of 400 titles available.
